Target intelligence / Profile preview
FERM domain-containing protein 1 (FRMD1) is a member of the FERM (Four-point-one, Ezrin, Radixin, Moesin) domain-containing protein family. The FERM domain is a modular protein domain involved in linking cytoskeletal and membrane proteins, typically localizing to the cytoplasmic side of the plasma membrane. FRMD1 is predicted to be involved in positive regulation of Hippo signaling and is predicted to localize to the cytoskeleton and the cytoplasmic side of the apical plasma membrane. However, the gene and protein remain poorly characterized, with unknown precise molecular function and no established roles in human disease or as a therapeutic target[1][3][5][7][10][11].
