Overview

FHF complex subunit HOOK-interacting protein 2B (FHIP2B) is a protein-coding gene with regulatory roles in cellular signaling pathways, notably activating MAPK/ERK and TGFB signaling[2][12][13]. It may modulate gene activity related to intestinal barrier integrity and immunoprotection, and potentially has a role in cell proliferation[2][12]. FHIP2B is associated with certain cancers, acting as a tumor marker in hepatocellular carcinoma and being linked to colon lymphoma[2][6]. It is classified as a member of a protein complex (FHF complex) but is not an enzyme, receptor, transporter, ion channel, or transcription factor. There are presently no known drugs directly targeting FHIP2B, nor is it established as a classic therapeutic target.
