The functional fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3), not the pseudogene, is a clinically important receptor implicated in bone development, cancer, and other diseases, and is a target for drugs such as erdafitinib. However, none of these therapeutic roles or interactions apply to the pseudogene FGFR3P2 (ENSG00000273600).
