Target intelligence / Profile preview
Fibronectin type III domain-containing protein 10 (FNDC10) is a membrane-associated protein encoded by a protein-coding gene located on human chromosome 1. FNDC10 contains fibronectin type III domains, which are often involved in protein–protein interactions including cell adhesion and signaling in other family members. However, for FNDC10 itself, neither a well-defined molecular function nor a role in specific biological pathways or as a drug target has been established in the current literature. The gene is mainly noted in genetic studies and has limited disease association with rare inherited diseases, but there is no evidence of it serving as a therapeutic target or biomarker in current biomedical research[1][3][5].
