Target intelligence / Profile preview
Fibronectin type III domain-containing protein 11 (FNDC11) is a member of the FNDC family, characterized by the presence of a conserved fibronectin type III domain, a motif involved in protein-protein interactions and common in many extracellular matrix and adhesion proteins[1][3][7]. FNDC11 is a protein-coding gene broadly conserved across vertebrates. While several FNDC proteins play roles in processes such as cell adhesion, migration, and tissue development, there is currently little published data or experimental evidence regarding FNDC11’s specific molecular function, expression profile in disease, or suitability as a therapeutic target in humans[1][3][7]. Databases suggest expression in a wide range of tissues, but without clear associations to signal transduction, disease pathophysiology, or validated drug interactions[2][3][4]. As such, FNDC11 is not currently recognized as a canonical therapeutic target or biomarker.
