FLNC antisense RNA 1 (FLNC-AS1) is a natural antisense long non-coding RNA transcribed from the opposite strand of the FLNC (filamin C) gene locus[3]. It belongs to the class of antisense lncRNAs that can regulate their overlapping sense genes or nearby genomic regions via RNA-RNA, RNA-DNA, or RNA-protein interactions[4]. The precise biological function of FLNC-AS1 remains to be fully elucidated, but, like other antisense lncRNAs, it may influence the transcription, stability, or translation of FLNC mRNA, potentially through epigenetic or post-transcriptional regulatory processes[3][4].
