Target intelligence / Profile preview
Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 ligand (FLT3LG) is a cytokine that regulates hematopoiesis by controlling the proliferation, differentiation, and survival of early hematopoietic progenitor cells. It binds to its receptor, FLT3, on multipotent progenitor cells and common lymphoid progenitors, stimulating dendritic cell growth and increasing the numbers of immune cells. Dysregulation of FLT3LG and its receptor, FLT3, is implicated in hematological malignancies like AML and autoimmune diseases.
Binds and activates FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3/CD135), leading to receptor dimerization and autophosphorylation, initiating downstream signaling cascades (STAT5a, ERK1/2, PI3K) to promote cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation.
