Target intelligence / Profile preview
Formyl Peptide Receptor Type 2 (FPR2/ALX) is a G protein-coupled receptor involved in immune regulation. It plays a key role in inflammation resolution through its interaction with specialized pro-resolving mediators like lipoxin A4 and resolvins. It also participates in host defense by recognizing pathogen-associated molecular patterns and promoting chemotaxis and phagocytosis. Due to its dual roles, FPR2 represents an attractive therapeutic target for chronic inflammatory diseases and sepsis.
Agonism or antagonism of FPR2/ALX receptor to modulate inflammation resolution and immune cell chemotaxis.
