Target intelligence / Profile preview
FZD10 is a member of the frizzled gene family, encoding cell surface receptors for Wnt proteins. It is a G protein-coupled receptor with seven transmembrane domains and plays a crucial role in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration via the canonical Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway. FZD10 is highly expressed in the placenta and fetal kidney and is abundantly expressed in the adult cerebellum. Overexpression is observed in certain cancers. Dysregulation can impact tumor progression.
Activation of the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway leading to stabilization and nuclear translocation of beta-catenin and subsequent transcriptional activation of target genes.
