Frizzled class receptor 2 (FZD2)

Target
FZD2
Molecular classification
Receptor, Atypical GPCR, Frizzled Receptor
01

Overview

FZD2 is a member of the frizzled gene family, encoding atypical G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that act as cell-surface receptors for Wnt signaling proteins. It plays a role in developmental regulation, cell polarity, embryonic development, neural synapse formation, and cell proliferation and migration. FZD2 functions as an oncogene in certain cancers and has been linked to developmental disorders.
