Frizzled class receptor 5 (FZD5)

Target
FZD5
Molecular classification
GPCR, Frizzled family receptor
01

Overview

FZD5 is a cell surface receptor for Wnt signaling proteins, acting as the primary receptor for ligands such as WNT3A, WNT5A, WNT7A, and WNT10B. It activates both canonical (β-catenin-dependent) and non-canonical pathways. FZD5 plays critical roles during embryonic development and adult tissue homeostasis, and its dysregulation has been implicated in several cancers and neurodegenerative diseases.
