Frizzled Receptor 2 (FZD2) is a seven-transmembrane domain receptor belonging to the Frizzled family. It functions as a receptor for Wnt signaling proteins and plays a critical role in cell proliferation, cell polarity, embryonic development, and neural synapse formation. Aberrant FZD2 activation is implicated in various diseases, including cancer, where it acts as an oncogene, and neurodegenerative diseases like ALS. It also serves as a receptor for Clostridioides difficile toxin B (TcdB).
