Target intelligence / Profile preview
Frizzled receptor 7 (FZD7) is a seven-transmembrane domain protein that functions as a receptor for Wnt signaling proteins. It mediates canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling and is involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration. FZD7 plays essential roles in embryonic development and stem cell regulation. Overexpression or dysregulation of FZD7 has been linked to various cancers, particularly those affecting the gastrointestinal tract, promoting tumor proliferation, progression, invasion, and metastasis.
Small molecule inhibitors targeting transmembrane domain to block canonical signaling and inhibit Wnt/β-catenin pathway activation.
