Target intelligence / Profile preview
FXYD6 antisense RNA 1 (FXYD6-AS1) is a human long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located on chromosome 11q23.3. As its name suggests, it is transcribed from the DNA strand opposite to the FXYD6 protein-coding gene. FXYD6-AS1 does not code for a protein and its specific biological function remains unclear, though, in general, antisense lncRNAs may regulate gene expression of their sense counterparts or participate in other regulatory roles in the genome. There are currently no established roles for FXYD6-AS1 in disease, drug interaction, or as a biomarker, and it is not considered a classical therapeutic target.
None known (not a druggable target or enzyme/receptor)
