Fyn-related Src family tyrosine kinase (FRK) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that belongs to the TYR family of protein kinases. It is primarily localized in the nucleus and may function during the G1 and S phases of the cell cycle to suppress cell growth. FRK interacts with retinoblastoma protein (RB), suggesting a role in controlling cell cycle progression. Unlike some other Src family kinases that are membrane-associated or cytoplasmic, FRK's nuclear localization distinguishes its functional context.
