G antigen 13 (GAGE13) is a member of the GAGE gene family of cancer/testis antigens, characterized by restricted expression to germ cells of the testis and aberrant activation in a range of human tumors. It is used as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and as an immunotherapeutic target, particularly in cancer vaccine and T-cell based therapies. Its biological function in normal tissues is not well understood, but in cancer, its presence may facilitate immune evasion or tumorigenicity.
