Overview

G protein-coupled receptor 20 (GPR20) is an orphan GPCR belonging to the GPCR1 family. It exhibits constitutive activity, activating Gi/o proteins even in the absence of a ligand, which results in decreased cAMP production. GPR20 may play roles in regulating cell growth/proliferation, but its detailed physiological and pathophysiological functions remain under investigation. Its endogenous ligand remains unknown.
