Target intelligence / Profile preview
G1 to S phase transition 1 (GSPT1), also known as eukaryotic peptide chain release factor GTP-binding subunit ERF3A, is a protein encoded by the *GSPT1* gene in humans. It plays a central role in both mRNA translation and regulation of the cell cycle, particularly at the G1/S checkpoint. It also interacts with ASK1 and regulates apoptosis.
