Ganglioside GD2 (None)

Target
None
Molecular classification
Disialoganglioside, Glycosphingolipid, Tumor-associated antigen
01

Overview

Ganglioside GD2 is a disialoganglioside highly expressed in tumors of neuroectodermal origin. It promotes tumorigenesis by enhancing cell survival, proliferation, motility, migration, adhesion, and invasion, and can contribute to immune evasion. GD2 is a target for immunotherapies like monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, and CAR-T cells. It also serves as a circulating biomarker for certain cancers.
