GARS1 divergent transcript (GARS1-DT) is a long non-coding RNA located on chromosome 7 (gene symbol: ENSG00000196295), also known as AC005154.1 and AC005154.6. GARS1-DT has been identified as part of prognostic lncRNA risk signatures in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), where its expression is associated with patient survival outcomes. Functional studies link it to autophagy regulation, apoptosis, and response to hypoxic stress in cancer biology, but no direct targeting drugs or classical mechanisms of action are established. It is also being investigated as a prognostic biomarker in colorectal cancer.
