Gastric sensitivity, often referred to as visceral hypersensitivity, is a physiological condition characterized by an increased perception of mechanical or chemical stimuli in the stomach, leading to symptoms such as pain, bloating, and early satiety (Tack et al., 2001, Gastroenterology).
