Overview
GD2 ganglioside is a disialoganglioside highly expressed on tumors of neuroectodermal origin, including neuroblastoma, melanoma, and small cell lung cancer. It plays a role in tumor cell survival, growth, adhesion, and metastasis. Its restricted expression in normal tissues makes it an attractive target for cancer immunotherapy, including monoclonal antibodies, CAR-T cells, and antibody-drug conjugates.
