General cellular proliferation refers to the physiological process by which cells increase their population through the coordinated phases of the cell cycle, including DNA replication and mitosis [1]. In a clinical context, 'general cellular proliferation' is not a specific molecular target but a complex biological process that is frequently dysregulated in diseases such as cancer, where cells bypass normal growth checkpoints [3]. Pharmacological intervention typically involves the use of antineoplastic agents that target various stages of the cell cycle to induce arrest or apoptosis [4].
