Target intelligence / Profile preview
Glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase pseudogene is a nonfunctional copy of the glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase gene. Unlike the protein-coding GCDH (which encodes an enzyme critical for lysine and tryptophan metabolism and is implicated in the rare metabolic disorder glutaric aciduria type I), the pseudogene lacks protein-coding function and is not known to play a role in normal physiology or disease[2][3][4].
