GAPDHP70 is one of dozens of similar pseudogenes mapped in the human genome, reflecting the high abundance of GAPDH-derived pseudogenes compared to other glycolytic enzymes[2][3][4][7][6]. It is not implicated in disease, therapy, biomarker development, or biological processes beyond the general evidence that some pseudogenes can regulate gene expression via noncoding RNA mechanisms, but no evidence supports such a role for GAPDHP70 specifically[8].
