Glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterase domain-containing protein 4 (GDPD4)

Glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterase domain-containing protein 4 (GDPD4) is an enzyme encoded by the GDPD4 gene in humans. It contains a glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterase domain and is predicted to be involved in lipid and glycerol metabolism, likely functioning in phosphoric diester hydrolase activity and acting at the membrane. GDPD4 has been associated with diseases such as Achromatopsia 4 and Van Maldergem Syndrome.
