Target intelligence / Profile preview
Glycolipid transfer protein pseudogene 1 (GLTPP1) is a processed pseudogene in the human genome that shares homology with the glycolipid transfer protein (GLTP) gene. Unlike GLTP, which encodes a functional cytoplasmic protein involved in non-vesicular transport of glycosphingolipids across intracellular membranes, GLTPP1 is not transcribed or translated into a protein product and does not have a known biological function, molecular activity, or therapeutic relevance.
