Overview

Golgi-associated plant pathogenesis-related protein 1 (GLIPR2, also known as GAPR1) is a multifunctional, Golgi-localized protein widely expressed in human tissues. It is implicated in the regulation of autophagy, protein dimerization, ERK signaling, cell migration, EMT, and immune responses. GLIPR2 functions as a tumor suppressor, with lower expression observed in multiple cancers, particularly lung adenocarcinoma, where higher levels associate with better prognosis and enhanced sensitivity to radiotherapy. It has demonstrated potential as a diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive biomarker, and may serve as a therapeutic target in oncology, although clinical drug development targeting GLIPR2 per se has not been reported to date[1][2].
