Golgin A6 family-like pseudogene

Golgin A6 family-like pseudogene (ENSG00000260784) is a segment of DNA in the human genome classified as a pseudogene, meaning it closely resembles a functional gene from the golgin A6 family but is rendered nonfunctional due to disabling mutations such as premature stop codons, frameshifts, or lack of regulatory sequences. Unlike functional genes, pseudogenes like this do not encode biologically active proteins and are typically not transcribed or translated.
