Golgin subfamily A member 6-like protein 26 (GOLGA6L26) is a member of the golgin family, which are coiled-coil proteins associated with the Golgi apparatus[1][5]. Golgins are involved in maintaining Golgi structure, supporting membrane tethering events, and potentially linking the Golgi to the cytoskeleton; however, most individual golgin family members, including GOLGA6L26, have no well-characterized molecular function or established roles as therapeutic targets[1][2][5].
