Overview

Granule associated Rac and RHOG effector 1 (GARRE1) is a human protein encoded by the GARRE1 gene, located on chromosome 19[6]. It is identified by its ability to bind to the CCR4-NOT complex as well as small GTPases and is implicated in Rac protein signal transduction, suggesting a role in intracellular signaling pathways[6][5][3]. GARRE1 is localized to cytoplasmic P-bodies—cellular structures associated with mRNA regulation[6][5][3]. There is no current evidence supporting its role as a direct therapeutic target, nor are there known small-molecule drugs or clinical biomarkers associated with GARRE1. Its main biological activity appears linked to modulation of small GTPase-mediated signaling processes, but its specific physiological and disease-related roles remain poorly characterized in the literature[6][5][3].
