Overview

The granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptor (G-CSFR), also known as CSF3R, is a cell surface receptor primarily expressed on precursor cells in the bone marrow. It mediates the effects of its ligand, granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), to stimulate proliferation and differentiation of myeloid progenitors into mature neutrophilic granulocytes and macrophages. Upon activation by G-CSF, G-CSFR initiates multiple intracellular signaling cascades, including JAK/STAT, PI3K-AKT, and RAS-MAPK pathways.
