GRIP and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 1 (GCC1)

Target
GCC1
Molecular classification
Other (Golgi-associated coiled-coil protein, peripheral membrane protein)
01

Overview

GRIP and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 1 is a peripheral membrane protein of the trans-Golgi network that contains a GRIP targeting domain and extensive coiled-coil regions. It functions in the organization of specific subcompartments of the trans-Golgi network involved in membrane trafficking and vesicle transport. It is sensitive to brefeldin A and may interact with other Golgi-localized proteins, including TRIM29, but is not a known direct therapeutic target[1][3][4][5][6].
