Target intelligence / Profile preview
GTF3C2 antisense RNA 2 (GTF3C2-AS2) is a human long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located on chromosome 2 (position 27,356,246-27,367,881, GRCh38)[7][1]. It is encoded antisense to the GTF3C2 gene, which itself encodes a transcription factor subunit, but GTF3C2-AS2 does not encode a protein and its specific biological functions remain unclear[2][1][7]. Some disease associations have been annotated for GTF3C2-AS2 (specifically rare forms of leukoencephalopathy), but its molecular mechanism and utility as a therapeutic target are not established in current data[2]. No drugs, biomarkers, or therapeutic strategies are currently linked to this lncRNA.
