KRAS G12V is a constitutively active mutant of the KRAS protein, a small GTPase involved in cell signaling pathways regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. The G12V mutation impairs GTP hydrolysis, leading to persistent activation of downstream signaling pathways and uncontrolled cell growth, a hallmark of many cancers.
