It does not encode a protein or function as a receptor, enzyme, or druggable molecular target. Aliases include GTSE1-AS1 and LL22NC03-5H6.6. No experimental evidence is currently available describing its precise biological function, its role in disease, or its utility as a biomarker or drug target. It is catalogued in gene databases under NCBI Gene ID 150384 and Ensembl ENSG00000277232. Most functional and disease associations described in the literature pertain to the protein GTSE1, not the divergent transcript GTSE1-DT. There is no evidence at present that drugs interact with GTSE1-DT, nor that it is included in any biomarker or therapeutic strategies. GTSE1-DT is a correctly named and annotated lncRNA, not a protein, receptor, enzyme, or conventional drug target.
