Guanine nucleotide-binding protein subunit alpha-15 (GNA15)

Target
GNA15
Molecular classification
G protein, signal transduction protein, heterotrimeric G protein alpha subunit (Gq class)
01

Overview

Guanine nucleotide-binding protein subunit alpha-15 (GNA15) is a member of the Gq alpha subunit family of heterotrimeric G proteins, which act as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. Upon activation by G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), GNA15 triggers downstream signaling events, particularly those related to calcium mobilization and phospholipase C activation. This protein is expressed in multiple tissues and has been implicated in the development of certain cancers and other signal transduction-related disorders
