Guanylyl cyclase domain-containing protein 1 (GUCD1)

Guanylyl cyclase domain-containing protein 1 (GUCD1) is a human protein encoded by the GUCD1 gene and is predicted to participate in biological processes such as liver regeneration and cAMP response, according to gene resource annotations[2]. While its nomenclature suggests a guanylyl cyclase function, studies indicate that GUCD1 lacks the functional domain that confers enzymatic cyclase activity seen in canonical guanylyl cyclases.
