H2A histone family member Z pseudogene 5 (H2AZP5) is a genomic sequence classified as a pseudogene related to the H2A.Z histone variant family. Unlike functional H2A.Z genes (such as H2A.Z.1 and H2A.Z.2), which play essential roles in chromatin structure and transcription regulation[1][3][4], H2AZP5 does not encode a protein and does not participate in these molecular processes.
