Target intelligence / Profile preview
H3 histone pseudogene 25 (H3P25) is classified as a pseudogene relating to the histone H3 family. Unlike functional histone H3 variants, such as H3.1, H3.2, H3.3, or H3.Y, which are involved in nucleosome structure and epigenetic regulation, pseudogenes generally do not produce functional proteins and typically lack biological activity[1][2]. There is no evidence to suggest that H3 histone pseudogene 25 serves as a therapeutic target, is involved in disease, or interacts with any drugs. Pseudogenes are usually considered as non-functional remnants of gene duplication or retrotransposition events and do not play a known biological or pathological role.
