Target intelligence / Profile preview
The Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) polysaccharide-protein conjugate transforms an otherwise weakly immunogenic bacterial capsule into a highly effective vaccine antigen by linking it with an immunostimulatory protein. This innovation has dramatically reduced rates of severe childhood infections caused by Hib worldwide through safe and durable protection when included in routine vaccination programs.
Stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies against the Hib capsular polysaccharide. The protein carrier enhances T-cell dependent immune response.
