Heat shock factor binding protein 1 pseudogene (ENSG00000248350) is a classified pseudogene in the human genome. Unlike its parent gene, “Heat shock factor binding protein 1” (HSBP1), which encodes a small protein involved in the negative regulation of the heat shock factor 1 (HSF1) and the heat shock response[1], this pseudogene does not produce a functional protein and is not known to have therapeutic or biological significance. Pseudogenes may, in rare cases, produce RNA molecules that play regulatory roles, but there is no evidence that this pseudogene has such a function.
