Target intelligence / Profile preview
Heat shock protein family D member 1 pseudogene 1 (HSPD1P1, HSPD1-2P) is a human pseudogene that shares sequence homology with the functional mitochondrial protein HSPD1 (also known as Hsp60), but is not believed to encode a functional protein. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but contain mutations or deletions that prevent them from producing active proteins. HSPD1P1 is non-functional, has no established protein product, and is not considered a drug target or involved in disease biology[1][3].
