Target intelligence / Profile preview
HSPD1P5 is a pseudogene in the human genome that shares sequence similarity with the heat shock protein family D (Hsp60) member 1 gene (HSPD1), but does not code for a functional protein[1]. Pseudogenes are typically non-functional genomic segments resulting from gene duplication or retrotransposition events. HSPD1P5, like other pseudogenes, is not implicated in protein folding, cellular stress response, or any known molecular or disease mechanism, and is not considered a therapeutic target.
