Target intelligence / Profile preview
HSPE1P3 (heat shock protein family E [Hsp10] member 1 pseudogene 3) is a genomic DNA sequence classified as a *pseudogene*, related by sequence homology to the functional HSPE1 gene, which encodes heat shock protein 10 (Hsp10) and is involved in protein folding as a chaperonin. Pseudogenes such as HSPE1P3 arise via gene duplication or retrotransposition but have lost the ability to encode functional proteins due to mutations, truncations, or lack of regulatory elements necessary for expression[2][8]. As such, HSPE1P3 does not produce a functional protein and is not a valid therapeutic target, disease biomarker, or subject for drug interactions.
