Overview

HSPE1P19, or heat shock protein family E member 1 pseudogene 19, is a noncoding pseudogene related to the mitochondrial chaperone protein HSP10 (heat shock 10kDa protein 1). Pseudogenes are DNA segments similar to functional genes but contain mutations or sequence interruptions that prevent them from encoding functional proteins[8][2]. Some pseudogenes may have regulatory roles at the RNA level, but there is no evidence of such activity for HSPE1P19. It is not a therapeutic target, does not participate directly in cellular signaling or disease, and generally lacks functional and clinical relevance[2][8][12].

Mechanism of action

None. Drugs do not target pseudogenes like HSPE1P19

03

Biological functions

None as a protein-coding gene.As a pseudogene, some evidence in other pseudogenes suggests regulatory RNA functions (such as miRNA decoys or competitive endogenous RNA), but such functions are not established for HSPE1P19 specifically.
04

Disease associations

None established for HSPE1P19 directly. In general, pseudogenes may occasionally contribute indirectly to disease through regulatory RNA roles, but there is no evidence of HSPE1P19 involvement in any disease.
