Target intelligence / Profile preview
HSF2BP is a protein that binds to Heat Shock Transcription Factor 2 (HSF2). It plays roles in meiotic recombination and repair, and has been implicated in protecting against liver injury by regulating the heat shock response pathway, specifically through the HSF2BP/HSP70/MAPK axis[1][2]. It is also associated with premature ovarian failure and male fertility[2][5].
Inhibition of MAPK pathway activation (JNK1/2 and P38 MAPK), upregulation of HSP70 and HSF2 expression, and binding to HSF2 to modulate transcription of heat shock proteins.
