HEATR5A divergent transcript (HEATR5A-DT, CTD-2213F21.2) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) expressed in a divergent configuration from the HEATR5A gene locus. Divergent lncRNAs are often transcribed from regions upstream or near protein-coding gene promoters in the opposite direction and may play regulatory roles in chromatin state or gene expression, though most have unclear or unestablished biological functions[3][5]. There is no evidence that HEATR5A-DT functions as a protein, therapeutic target, or biomarker. Like many divergent lncRNAs, its primary distinguishing feature is its genomic organization and non-coding nature, rather than a direct molecular function or role in human disease.
