Pseudogenes like HERC2P3 are DNA sequences similar to active genes but are typically non-functional, often not transcribed or translated into protein. There is currently **no evidence** that HERC2P3 encodes a protein or acts as a conventional molecular target, nor is there functional or disease data specifically attributed to HERC2P3. It is one of several partial duplicates of HERC2 found on chromosome 15[1][3][4][6]. Some HERC2 pseudogenes (notably HERC2P2) have limited research suggesting possible regulatory roles or influence on tumor biology, but there is **no direct evidence or literature supporting such a role for HERC2P3**[2][5].
