Additionally, it has been shown to suppress tumor angiogenesis by regulating factors like VEGFA and to enhance the body's non-specific immune response [1][10][11]. While widely used in clinical TCM practice, often in combination with Scutellaria barbata, it does not represent a discrete therapeutic protein target but serves as a natural product reservoir for diverse bioactive molecules [3][9].
